WEBSITES THAT WORK - STARTING FROM GROUND UP

I have a number of sites in progress and as they come together I will include them in this area.

Web Estates:
this is an example of a database driven web site. It is a virtual site and does not really exist in real time, but it indicates the possibilities of what can be done. It allows the client to browse though a list of properties from the database and click to see more details on their choice. The client can search for a property using particular criteria like 3 bedrooms, with pool, and alarm, etc .... and browse though the sorted listings on a page by page basis. There is a host of advantages one can use.

Web Estates Database Driven Site

Linares Architects:
The artwork given to me to work from, was their card ( on the right ) which is the thumbnail link used here. The rest of the site I designed myself. It illustrates the design element I put into my site work. This is an example of a static site.

Belting Edge :

This is the first of my technical sites I have had to do. This site has to supply specications and sizes of the various belt used in the conveyor belt industry. A lot of detail and images. A very pleasant looking site although quite technical at times. I have used CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for the various rollover effect with make for a fast loading site.

African Sunfun Safaris :
This was a redo of a competitor's work. It was a bit more challenging because the site had to have more impact and better ease of use than previous. This site now displays a bit more graphic Images in title area. Being a Safari Company the emphasis was placed on graphic design to create an initial interest. The site also had to be functional as they offered various tours.

Aquapulse:
The card artwork was a sample of the "logo". The client wanted that specific logo text. We looked at the type of products they import and went with a "blue" look after discussion with the client. They only have a limited product range but it works well.

Schorr:
The client wants that a specific product be marketed. This was a referral client from one of my previusly satified customers. He is 1400km away so all the groundwork is being done via email.

False Bay Roofing:
Developed at the beginning of this 2004 and growing slowly. Still not finished yet as the client owns me a lot of content. The site has generated a fair amount of business although not yet complete. Strange but true. I hope that at the end of this year than can give the finished content I am waiting for.

Dirttrapper Mats are a fast growing craze in south africa. You see them at all the design and homemaker shows. We are just waiting for the client to give me new quality video images to stream from the site.

Brynbrook House : NEW

Good example of a cheap 1/2 page website with all the ingredients needed to for a bed and breakfast.

Aspire Consulting:

Corporate site with a lot of content about management of businesses. For a particular nich market. I tried to be visually stimulating as well as functional.

Sunfun International :

A database site which creates booking based on seasonal charges, passengers, children, infants, and calculates an end price based on decisions.

African Properties 4 U :

Very graphic site for the UK market. For the local South African, It would probaly load a bit slower for us because of the intense amount of graphics.
